Presentation of Members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Forum

The Intention to create an international expert group to discuss open questions on preanalytical issues has been successful. With pleasure we want to present the members, who from now on will be prepared to add news and answer questions of users regarding preanalytical issues.

Members and their expert fields are:

Walter Guder, Munich, Germany (administrator) (urinalysis, clinical chemistry)
Naotaka Hamasaki, Fukuoka, Japan (coagulation, thrombosis)
Hans Hallander, Solna, Sweden (microbiology, urinalysis)
Joseph Henny, Vandeuvre L?s Nancy, France (therapeutic drug monitoring)
Sheshadri Narayanan, New York, USA (hematology, molecular biology)
Carmen Ricos, Barcelona, Spain (biological versus technical variables, quality assurance)
Donald Young, Philadelphia, USA (clinical chemistry)

Due to this expert group questions can be raised in the following languages: German, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Espanol, Hindi, Koannada (indian languages), Swedish, and Tamil.

Starting with this Newsletter, all members will enter news in to the existing databank regarding use of anticoagulants, stability and preanalytical quality criteria in the different parts of the world. In addition we hope to be able to inform the users of the program continuously on forthcoming meetings and events, new developments and ways to solve problems in a bimonthly newsletter.
